From the time I played with Barbies, I was in the basement building furniture for their dream home. I had more fun building than I did playing, and the same is true today. For me, the build is the play.
It all starts with a spark of inspiration…and it can come from anywhere.
A damaged door, a growing vine, a baby squirrel–they have all led to projects for me in the last year.

For me, a problem is just a project, and challenge is a choice of how to tackle it. The one thing I have learned along the way is that there are few things that can’t be fixed, so it’s worth taking the chance on screwing it up.
If you want to know a bit about me, by day, I work in communications, I am a mom to a young teen boy, and fiancée to a lovely man who helps out with my projects when I let him 🙂
So, if you want to check out some of my adventures, like how I came to build Harold’s House (the baby squirrel), let’s make a mess together, find the fun, and play for hours on end. Be sure to subscribe before you head out!
